Originally discussed staining the entire piece but after painstakingly removing the top layer of veneer on the top of the dresser that was pretty severely damaged, we realized the wood underneath was not pretty and no matter how much sanding I did, it did not look good stained so we pivoted and decided to paint the frame and stain the drawers
